Peter Koziell, Director of Production and Operations

A former hurricane-chasing photojournalist, Peter runs the daily operations and productions for Award Productions’ broadcast and corporate clients.

Without question, he’s our most seasoned and battle-tested shooter. Over the past 21 years with us, he has flown with aviation pioneers for our Emmy-nominated documentary “Beyond Kitty Hawk,” shared tight living quarters with third-tier presidential candidates, and rode shotgun with stuntdrivers — saddled with packs of heavy camera gear.

Peter loves to mine the world of pop culture to produce offbeat viral videos. “Totally Devoted,” one of his short films about obsessive music fans, has attracted more than a half million viewers.

Peter’s fascination with antique cars and automotive history inspired our award-winning documentary, “Hell Drivers: America’s Original Crash Test Dummies,” which was optioned as a reality TV series pilot for Country Music Television (CMT).

The TV industry has been kind to Peter and to give back to the community, he has multiple DVRs recording and streaming devices all his favorite shows (which are later archived in secret temperature-controlled vaults).

Needless to say, Peter is our walking, talking pop culture resource.
